Mac & BlackBerry
I’m feeling nerdy today.
If you are both a mac and blackberry user, you definitely have the mighty problem of syncing the two devices, at least your address book and iCal. You know better than me that PocketMac (the BB software for mac) is a pain in the ass and Missing Sync is just slightly better, but still painful.
I found out this solution: Spanning Sync and Google Sync.
First you have to sign up for a gmail account (if you don’t already have one). Then download Spanning Sync (this isn’t a free software, but you can test it for 15 days; after that time purchase is required). This software allows us to sync “Address Book” and “iCal” (even if you have multiple calendars and/or external calenders) with “Contacts” and “Calendar” on Google. Now download Google Sync on your BB device and then sync it with google. Before this final step I recommend to delete every contact and calendar entry on your BB, ’cause it could result in annoying duplicates during the first sync.
With this syncing “system” if you make a change or an add on one device, the change is “pushed” to the other two almost automatically.
I hope this post could help someone else other than me.
